After several artists including Alicia Keys, Eminem and Timbaland made live performances, Toni Braxton appeared alongside Keri Hilson to announce that Jay-Z has won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Male Artist. When collecting the award, the rapper used that moment to thank Alicia Keys for her support in “Empire State of Mind”. Right afterwards, Chris brown took to twitter
In a tweet that disappeared faster than his endorsement deals, Chris Brown let the twitterverse know just how he felt during Jay-Z’s acceptance speech at last night’s AMA’s.
He then posted this:
So who exactly was the “Cornball” tweet aimed at, Chris? Yourself?
He went on to write:
“GROW UP… LOL.. AM I IN HIGHSCHOOL? i said cornball to what was going on in my CRIB WIT DA HOMIES. they was freestyling.. it sucked.chill
I HAVE NOTHIN TO SAY ABOUT HOMIE. #ontothenext
i really ain’t gotta explain myself..lmao.. but for all the blogs sites that are gonna run wit dis b.s. its not true”
Chris wasn’t the only one who took to the twitternets during Jay’s speech.
Q-Tip later tweeted that it was just a “general comment” and that there was “no hate” going on.
Minutes later, the top honor of the evening was announced by Ryan Seacrest. It’s Taylor Swift who was crowned Artist of the Year, pushing aside Kings of Leon, Lady GaGa, Eminem and Michael Jackson.

I was scanning something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your position on it is diametrically opposed to what I read originally. I am still mulling over the various points of view, but I’m tipped to a great extent toward yours. And irrespective, that’s what is so great about contemporary democracy and the marketplace of thoughts online.
